  I had a filling come out while in Mexico the prior week and a trip scheduled to Wellington. Monday night I could not sleep from the pain and looked up dentists in the area near the showground where my daughter was competing. I called Kurt Bally's office and was able to schedule an emergency appointment the next day. The staff is amazing and was assessed very quickly using some high-tech instruments that I have not experienced before. It was determined that I needed a root canal and a cap for my painful tooth which was able to be done almost immediately. Kurt and his staff explained everything and after signing some forms went right to work. They said the procedure would be 2 1/2 hours for the root canal on Tuesday and then I would return Thursday and have the cap (manufactured at the office) available to be set. During the course of the root canal work the team did multiple digital x-rays to ensure the work was done to Kurt's satisfaction. After reviewing the last x-ray he came back and said even though the procedure would be OK at that point he decided to take the time to really insure the quality of the work and opened the tooth and finished the work to his satisfaction. I was very impressed with his attentions to detail and to insure the best possible result. I have been through root canal and cap procedures back home that extended over five weeks of going to specialists, taking full impressions, waiting for a dental lab to create the cap and while having a temporary. In about 6 hours over two visits everything was completed to my satisfaction and at a lower cost than my dentist at home. Kurt took the time to speak with me about my teeth and how he likes to work with his patients that require some work. Frankly since I travel for work so often I think that Modern Dental Smiles and Kurt will be my dentist for any major work.
